The 2015 Altos de Losada is pure Mencía from 21 small plots. They aimed at keeping the notes from the élevage in the background, which they achieved nicely by using larger barrels and keeping 20% of the volume without contact with wood. 2015 is a ripe year, but the wine shows no excess of ripeness and comes through as quite balanced and with good freshness. 22,500 bottles.
