Tasting Notes : Attractive dark red hue with a highly aromatic nose typical of Margaux. In the mouth, a tight, smooth attack with a very fine balance of delicateness and soft, rounded tannins.

Attractive aromas of dark and blue fruit, some violets, walnut and graphite. It's medium-bodied with finely grained tannins and a delicate, vivid blue fruit character. Chalky finish. Try after 2024.

The 2020 Margaux de Brane is a plush, succulent Margaux to drink now and over the next handful of years. It's a gorgeous wine at this level. Spice, blood orange and mint give this mid-weight, open-knit 2020 tons of energy to play off its ripe, racy fruit.

The second wine of the estate, the 2020 Baron De Brane is a softer, more rounded, mouth-filling Margaux offering plenty of ripe, dark fruits, velvety tannins, and medium to full-bodied richness. It doesn't have the precision or length of the Grand Vin, but it offers lots of character.

The 2020 Baron de Brane is a blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 58% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. It weighs in with 14.2% alcohol and a pH of 3.71. Deep purple-black colored, it leaps from the glass with vibrant notes of crushed black and red currants, black raspberries and bay leaves, plus hints of lavender and damp soil. The medium-bodied palate is soft and refreshing with lively fruit and an herbal lift on the finish.
