Garnet color. Intense aromas of ripe red berries mixed with liquorice and a hint of vanilla . Complex,with a fleshy texture; very pure fruit. Well-shaped tannins. Long and spicy finish. To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin).

A trim, linear profile sets the pace for black cherry, blackberry and violet flavors in this firm red. Fresh and lingers nicely on the dark berry-tinged aftertaste. Best from 2024 through 2038. 40 cases imported.

The 2020 Beaune Clos des Marconnets ler Cru has quite an intense, rich nose, the imprimatur of the early growing season perhaps more evident here compared to Chanson's other Premier Crus. The palate is ripe and rounded, quite fleshy and missing the tension displayed by the Greves or Teorons. This is one I would broach earlier than others. Closure: Diam
