From a sandy, early-ripening site, the 2019 Bonalgue offers up aromas of plum preserve, kirsch, licorice and mocha. Full-bodied, velvety and fleshy, it's layered and succulent, with melting tannins and a round, extroverted profile. This isn't built for the long haul, but it will deliver plenty of near-term pleasure.

The 2019 Bonalgue is a juicy, supple Pomerol to drink over the near term. The richness of the year comes through in the wine's dark flavor profile and overall intensity. Succulent black cherry, spice, licorice and new leather add to a feeling of gravitas.

Lots of mulled black cherries, cedary herbs, and dried flower notes emerge from the 2019 Château Bonalgue, a medium to full-bodied, elegant Pomerol that's mid-weight yet balanced and charming. It should drink nicely for 10-12 years.
