The aromatics of the 2017 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Punta di Villa remind me more of baked confectionary desserts than wine, as cinnamon, mocha, plum sauce and gobs of dark chocolate can all be found in the glass. It's silky on the palate, with ripe red fruits and sweet spices that swirl throughout. This lingers incredibly long but only lightly structured, leaving a staining of primary concentration.
