Spice, toastiness and tight acidity mark this young wine. It is edgy at the moment, dominated by a strong minerality that will soften with age. This promises to be a rich, concentrated wine as it matures. Drink from 2023.

The 2015 Bouscaut Blanc is a little darker in color than its peers. Well-defined scents of butterscotch, praline and citrus fruit leap from the glass, while tropical notes become more pronounced with aeration. The palate is slightly honeyed on the entry, in both texture and taste. This is certainly one of the richer dry white Bordeaux, though it is missing some delineation on the finish. Pleasing but not intellectual. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

The Bouscaut 2015 Blanc is scented of lemons, grapefruit and hay with wafts of chalk and herbs. The medium-bodied palate is refreshing, clean and pure with a long finish.
