Other vintages
La Spinetta Valeirano vineyard Barbaresco comes from a 3 hectare vineyard Tresio. The vines are 45-51 years old and grow on calcareous soil at 450 meters above sea level, at a southern exposure. Harvest usually happens in the first or second week in October, after which time, the grapes are fermented in rotofermenters for 7 to 8 days. The wine then ages for 20-22 months in new, medium toasted, French oak barrique. Valeirano Barbaresco is then aged for another year in bottle before its release. The wine is not filtered or fined.
