Aromas of vanilla and coriander lead to apple, lemon curd and mineral flavors in this graceful yet concentrated and expressive dry Riesling. This is powerful yet restrained, with a firm mineral undertow and a long, tactile finish. Offers impressive length. Best from 2021 through 2028. 225 cases made, 5 cases imported.

Scents and flavors here run more toward pear than the Ruppertsberg-typical peach. A silken feel complements the luscious fruitiness, while stony mineral impingements, piquant fruit pit and smoky suggestions of black tea lend counterpoint. The finish is pithy, its stony and piquant elements pulling in a slightly austere direction, but displays authoritative grip and deep resonance.

The 2017 Riesling Reiterpfad-Hofstück GG displays a pretty concentrated bouquet of ripe, stewed or even dried stone fruits with some ethereal and spicy notes. Mouthfilling and juicy on the palate, this is a bit sweet and sour, well textured but also rather broad dry Riesling that remains on the medium-bodied palate and lacks finesse, elegance and esprit. The finish is quite powerful, and the wine remains pretty broad and uninspired. Tasted two times in December 2019.
