Made by Dave Phinney of Prisoner and Orin Swift fame, this is a well-made, full-bodied and deeply concentrated wine from the gracefully powerful appellation. Reduced oak gives in to spicy Mexican chocolate and a velvety texture of undeniable lushness piqued in bright acidity.

Possibly the best of this trio will turn out to be the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is the same blend and will be treated the same way in the cellar. This seems to have more flesh, concentration, and density. I wouldn't be surprised to see this go 15-20 years.
