The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Horse Shoe is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but from a different parcel than The Trail or Pony Express. The Horse Shoe wasn't made in 2013, but the 2014 Horse Shoe displays plenty of licorice, almost scorched volcanic earth, loamy soil and wet rocks. There's huge minerality running through this dense, concentrated wine, with loads of black fruits, supple tannins, and a full-bodied, multi-layered mouthfeel. It's another beauty to drink over the next 20 or so years, if you can resist it that long.
