A lovely note of ripe black currant meets rich hints of toasted brioche, candied ginger and salted almond in this elegant Champagne, with a fine, silky mousse. This is well-knit and lightly mouthwatering, and at 14 years of age, still vibrant and focused through to the mouthwatering, spiced finish. Drink now through 2030. 200 cases made, 34 cases imported.

The 2006 Cuvée Théophile Grand Cru Extra Brut blends 60% Chardonnay (from Les Champs d'Alouette in Mesnil-sur-Oger) and 40% Pinot Noir (Ls Grande Rouelle in Ambonnay). Vinified in used barriques, this wine offers an intense and vinous bouquet of ripe fruits and pure chalk. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, this is a very elegant and expressive Champagne with a firm structure and a long, complex finish. It's lean and rich at the same time, and probably needs a bit of time. It was disgorged in July 2015 with two grams of dosage per liter.
