The wine reflects the cool site. The nose has notes of black cherry, cinnamon and spice. On the palate the wine displays a darker character of black plum skin, soy, and loam. The wine has great acidity and a lovely mouth feel. To me this wine expresses a French esthetic with great balance between the fruit notes and the earth notes. While the wine is accessible now it will drink well for 10+ years.

This classically coastal wine, influenced by wind and fog, is light bodied and buoyant in acidity, perfumed by clove, cola and cherry. The oak is present, while integrated, providing a thickness of texture that should mellow in time.
