The 2015 Champagne Cuvée Paradoxe Brut moves into more yellow orchard fruit and tangerine aromas, with a hint of savory quinine. The palate is tension-driven, though not overbearing or austere. Pithy, with a hint of smoke and salty earth, and maybe some white pepper spice, it would make a great accompanying wine for the table to drink over the next 8-10 years.

The 2015 Brut Cuvee Paradoxe is a pretty wine, even if its clearly on the airier side for Gimonnet these days. Lemon peel, white flowers, crushed rocks and bright saline notes are nicely delineated. There's good energy, but the 2015 feels a bit light. That said, it does not show the vegetal notes that are typical of many wines in this vintage. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: September, 2021.
