This minty, juicy and nicely focused wine offers generous black currant, chocolate and black-cherry flavors on a silky texture laced with light tannins. It is fairly concentrated and very well balanced, drinkable without further aging. Best through 2032.

A fruit-driven example, delivering a mix of kirsch, linzer torte and plum puree, while red licorice and singed apple wood score the finish. Frankly toasty on the finish, but the fruit pushes through well enough. Best from 2024 through 2035. 2,224 cases made.

Aged in 75% new French oak, there's a menthol-cedar edge to the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford, partially obscuring more attractive notes of black cherries and humus-enriched loam. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with supple tannins framed by ample oak, leaving a slightly drying, dusty impression on the finish.
