This wine is intense in aromas of violet, rose, underbrush, dark-skinned berry and spice. Tightly wound and vibrant, the taut, elegantly structured palate delivers Marasca cherry, black raspberry, cinnamon and clove framed in firm fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. It's still youthfully austere, so give it time to fully develop. Drink 2013-2035.

A powerful version, exuding cherry, plum, leather and tar aromas and flavors. The oak aging adds a layer of tannins, as well as spice accents. Finishes with a solid grip of tannins. Tails off a little in the end. Best from 2023 through 2038. 860 cases made, 700 cases imported.
