The 2018 Pinot Grigio is understated and refined, as notes of stone dust and white smoke give way to sweet florals and crushed apple, gaining further richness with time in the glass. Its textures are enveloping and soft with an almost-oily feel, lifted by zesty minerality with complementary notes of ripe pear and hints of roasted almond. There's excellent persistence and a nutty richness that lingers long. There's so much going on here that it's amazing to think that this is refined completely in stainless steel.
