Patrick Piuze Chablis Les Sechets 2020
|Region||France, Burgundy, Chablis|
The 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet is a beauty, bursting with aromas of Meyer lemon, white flowers, crisp green apple, pastry cream and freshly baked bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with racy acids and chalky grip, it's a long and penetrating wine that's quintessentially Chablisien in profile.
The 2020 Chablis Les Sechets ler Cru has a well-defined bouquet, quite focused but a little tighter than the Les Roncieres at the moment. The palate is vibrant on the entry thanks to a citric bead of acidity. Linear and quite strict for the vintage, this is perhaps one of Piuze's most classically styled Chablis in 2020, and it should age well.
Well-defined, revealing apple, yellow plum and stone flavors backed by a vibrant structure. Starts out with richness, turning leaner and sharper as it winds down on the finish. Drink now through 2026.
