The 2017 Domaine Mercouri, the estate red, is an 85/15 blend of Refosco and Mavrodaphne, aged for 10-12 months, depending on lot, in 80% used French oak. It comes in at 13% alcohol. This has fleshed out beautifully since I first saw it, seeming lusher and more mouthcoating, no longer as compact-although it is hardly a very deep wine. The tannins are still a touch aggressive and it is tight on the finish, probably the tightest of the mini-vertical trio this issue. It's roughly drinkable now, but it will be better in a year (or two). It should last the rest of the decade, give or take, although I always like to be cautious.
