The 2020 Savigny-Dominode ler Cru has a fresh bouquet with fine delineation, leaning more towards the red side of the fruit spectrum, touches of musk filtering through the cranberry and strawberry, a little earthiness with time. The palate is well balanced with pliant tannins, the whole bunch here neatly integrated with a judicious touch of white pepper towards the finish. This works much better than some of Chanson's other reds and it should age well in bottle. Closure: Diam

Enticing aromas and flavors of black cherry, black currant and sandalwood highlight this firmly structured red. Ends with lightly chewy tannins and an aftertaste of fruit and spice. Best from 2023 through 2033. 50 cases imported.
