Deep red with a pale amber rim. The reticent nose hints at red cherry, spicy plum, underbrush and fennel. Big, dense and juicy, with rich flavors of red cherry, dark plum, sassafras, licorice and marjoram. Finishes long and relatively suave with youthful but polished tannins, providing support to the ripe fleshy fruit presence. A big Brunello rather than a graceful one, this speaks loudly of the warm 2015 growing season, but offers good balance to avoid tasting too ripe and over the top.
