Light yellow-green; slightly tart spicy entrée, radicchio, sage, then the green pepper and some lime zest; on the palate this year goes more into the dark aromas, dried herbs, spiced tobacco; clearly structured, with some length. Medium-bodied Veltliner, wrapped in a grippy tannin net, down-to-earth, firmly built, with a finish reminiscent of herbal bitters. With its straightforward, rustic style, it is the companion wine to many Austrian wines. Kitchen classics, such as smoked meat, horseradish, meat or rabbit dumplings, a hearty roast pork and some baked goods.
