The 2020 Bico Amarelo is a blend of 40% Loureiro with the rest evenly divided between Alvarinho and Avesso, dry (less than 1.5 grams of residual sugar and seven grams of total acidity) and coming in at 11.8% alcohol. As with all of Ameal's wines, there is no added carbonation. Perky and bright, this is a nice price for a balanced wine that generally performs well. It's easy to drink now, but there's freshness on the finish. If there's a quibble, there's also a slight reductive nuance. The aromatics may improve with some aeration. It wasn't too strong even now.
