The Fratelli Seghesio 2017 Barolo presents an accessible and open-knit fabric of dark fruit and dried cherry interwoven with spice, camphor ash and licorice. The wine is soft and monotone, like most of these Nebbiolo-based wines from the hot and dry 2017 vintage, but the tannins are easier and more managed in the case of this wine. Its ready-to-go personality opens it up to a near-term drinking window.
