Showing a heavier approach with some evident oxidation, the hot-vintage 2017 Etna Bianco Tenuta San Michele has a note of flint or struck match that segues to ripe apricot and honey. There's a lot going on in the glass, and it's not all in complete harmony at the end of the day. The mouthfeel shows medium-lean weight and a short finish. The wine appears excessively reduced, and that explains the question mark on my score.
