Kenzo Estate Rindo Red Blend 2018
|Region||California, Napa Valley|
Composed of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc, 8% Petit Verdot and 11% Malbec, the 2018 Rindo Proprietary Red has a deep garnet-purple color, featuring notes of baked black cherries, stewed plums, boysenberries and warm cassis plus suggestions of wild sage, underbrush and cloves. Medium to full-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating black fruits with a firm frame of rounded tannins and lively herbal accents, finishing long and savory.
Another blend from this team, the 2018 Red Blend Rindo is based on 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 11% Malbec, and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. It offers a rich, up-front, nicely fruited style carrying plenty of spiced red and black currants, cherries, dried tobacco, loamy soil, and cedary herb-like aromas and flavors. With medium to full-bodied richness, no hard edges, and a clean finish, it's another candidate for drinking any time over the coming 10-12 years.
