Halcyon Wines Cabernet Franc Camino Alto 2017

As many of you know, Halcyon Wines is an exploration of Cabernet Franc expression in California. We believe that Camino Alto has offered us the most beautiful expression of Cabernet Franc that we have come across yet. A rolling hilled vineyard set at 2500' in the Sierra Foothills, the volcanic red clay soils in the Camino Alto Vineyard are a site to see. With crazy diurnal temperatures, the grapes mature in long even fashion. Grape skins thicken by breezes created from constant weather variability adding tannin and structure to the wine. This wine is also extra special, as it's an ode to our dear and late friend, Sally.
