Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto San Marcellino is known for its excellent structure, characterized by firm but elegant tannins, accompanied by a slight harmonious flavor. It is a wine of great balance and with a long persistence.

Vibrant and linear, with a firm line of tannins and terrific length on the iron-tinged finish. Ends with fruit, mineral and spice notes, showing solid grip. Sangiovese and Pugnitello. Best from 2027 through 2045. 1,435 cases made, 550 cases imported.

The 2019 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Vigneto San Marcellino is a dark, brooding wine. Black cherry, leather, smoke, incense and tobacco add to an impression of gravitas and pure power. This is an especially somber, virile edition of the San Marcellino. Give it a few years to soften.
