Own-rooted Pommard clone Pinot Noir, planted in 1972, is the focal point for a wine rich in texture and detail. The mix of black fruits carries highlights of coffee and char, from aging for 20 months in a small percentage of new French oak. The finish sneaks up on you and lingers gracefully. As with all the Holloran wines, clarity and balance are first and foremost.
