A Merlot dominated blend that includes 33% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Walla Walla Valley Red Blend offers more black and blue fruits, violets and licorice aromatics, medium to full body, sweet tannin and rock solid purity. It's another plump, nicely textured charmer from this vintage to drink over the coming 7-8 years or more.

Merlot makes up 58% of this blend, with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon (33%) and Cabernet Franc. A blend of fruit from Anna Marie, Spring Valley, Loess, and Minnick Hills vineyards, the aromas are light, with notes of plum, raspberry, barrel toast and spice. The palate is soft and silky, gliding on the finish. It's all about delicacy.

Bright, dark red. Subtle floral lift to the aromas of raspberry, cherry and spicecake; higher-pitched and more refined than the Merlot. Fine-grained and classically dry but with lovely subtle sweetness to its red berry and floral flavors. Shows a light touch and sneaky length, with form but seamless tannins providing support. This nicely delineated midweight boasts attractive inner-palate lift and balance from the start but has the acidity to age and may yet expand in bottle. Quite dry in a positive way, this blend offers lovely considerable flavor interest.
