This ripe wine has dusty tannins, a good balance between fruit and tannin, and considerable potential. The dry core of tannins will soften while the black plum and berry fruits are already juicy and rich. This wine will age well; drink from 2024.

Aged for 12 months in 25% new, 25% one-year-old and 50% two-year-old French oak barrels and a blend of 41% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc and 11% Petit Verdot, the 2015 Charmail is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with an enticing nose of crushed black currants and black raspberries notes with touches of spice box and dried leaves. Medium-bodied, it offers a good amount of juicy black and red fruits with grippy tannins and appealing freshness. Drink Date: 2018-2027.
