"Spicy and floral nuances add breadth to the green apple, iodine and white pepper aromas. The more refined if less powerful flavors exude evident minerality on the markedly, even aggressively, citrus-inflected and bone-dry finale that it shaped by bright acidity. At present I suspect that the citrus character might be too much for some though I would expect it to slowly mitigate.

"he 2021 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru also comes from 67-year-old vines. It has a very expressive bouquet with blood orange and yellow plum complementing the flinty aromas. Hints of white peach in the background. The palate is well balanced, quite concentrated, losing a bit of precision on the mid-palate so that the finish just has a bit of heaviness (partly due to the reduction).
