G. D. Vajra Langhe Freisa Kye 2022

The 2022 Langhe Freisa Kyè is an elegant, polished wine. Dark cherry, plum, gravel, dried flowers, mocha, sage and licorice lend notable complexity. The racy profile is marked by ripe fruit but also a mid-weight structure that resulted from challenges in achieving full ripeness in this vintage.

Concentrated, with aromas of dark currants, white pepper and hints of earth and asphalt. The palate is medium- to full-bodied and chewy, showing elderberry and blackberry flavors, racy acidity and a firm finish. Better from 2025.

Cherry and strawberry flavors mark this round, juicy red. Rich, with a line of dense tannins, remaining balanced and long. Enjoy this slightly chilled. Drink now through 2030. 750 cases made, 250 cases imported.
