95 Points! The blackcurrants and violets are impressive on the nose with hints of slate. Full-bodied, yet always refined and in check. Linear and tight. Black olives and blue fruit at the finish. Drink after 2021

This red is a Cabernet Sauvignon (with a splash of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) that opens with aromas of cranberry and chalk followed by hints of cedar and pronounced spices. It delivers plenty of toasted oak and herbs flavors on the mineral palate.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvee Alexandre is also 10% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, all from Apalta, Colchagua, aged for up to 14 months in used barrels. Purple with a garnet sheen. The liqueur-like nose presents notes of sour cherry and black currant plus hints of pepper and mint. In the mouth, it delivers good structure with firm tannins, juicy acidity and intense flavor. This is a full-bodied wine that needs time in the bottle.
