Lovely intense purplish ruby colour with dark tints. It has an amazingly complex nose with aromas of black fruit that are dominated by blackberry and raspberry. It has a pleasant grilled flavour, is very round and rich, and is remarkably balanced overall with elegant, mellow tannin. It has an equally appealing, long finish.

The 2017 Peyredon Lagravette is powerful and intensely savory. Grilled herbs, leather, licorice, pine and wild cherry lend tons of aromatic and flavor complexity. The 2017 is a rich and a bit rough around the edges, but it is certainly not lacking in personality or character. Drink this delicious Cru Bourgeois over the next decade. The blend is 63% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, with the Cabernet very much front and center. Tasted two times.
