The 2019 Branco Beyra is an unoaked and roughly equal blend of Síria and Fonte Cal in a small field blend coming in at just 12.5% alcohol. A fine value, this has a lot of energy and a fine acidic core that lifts the fruit and makes your tongue tingle a bit. There is good fruit too, but its dry and juicy finish is the most admirable feature here. This lively white is perfectly positioned for warm weather. Under screwcap, it may age a few years, but that really isn't the point.

From the mountains east of the Dão region, the wine is light and fruity. Its crisp apple and green plum flavors are lit by acidity and a bright flash of citrus. Drink now.
