Forge Cellars Classique Riesling 2023

Ripe but nervy, with a unique combination of plump peach, apricot and nectarine notes that are carried by a taut and tangy spine of fennel, quinine and ginger. Shows a bitter orange echo on the finish. Drink now through 2029. 3,784 cases made.

Like all of the Forge wines, the 2023 Dry Riesling Classique fermented in neutral wood with indigenous yeasts. A blend of fruit from several Seneca Lake sites, it's fully dry and marked by orchard fruit—Golden Delicious apples, pear and peach. It's medium-bodied but nicely plump and waxy on the mid-palate, displaying fine length on the finish.
