(aged for 18 months in new and used American oak barrels) Bright ruby-red. The perfumed nose displays scents of ripe red fruits and candied flowers, and peppery spice, vanilla and cedar notes build in the glass. Juicy and appealingly sweet, offering vibrant black raspberry and cherry-vanilla flavors that steadily deepen on the back half. Finishes sappy and quite long, the slow-building tannins folding smoothly into the wine's juicy fruit.
