If you walk through the vineyards at Laurel Glen, you will pass by some very old vines, planted in the 1800s by pioneers on Sonoma Mountain, and some very young vines, planted three years ago. Check out our vineyard planting photo journal. The majority of the vines are mature and deeply rooted in our red, rocky mountain soils: they began their life in 1968, and are now bearing some of the deepest and most complex wine grapes in the world.
All Laurel Glen wines, whether Sonoma Mountain estate, Terra Rosa from South American cabernet, or REDS from the fringes of the California wine country, reflect the land in which we grow them. You can taste the origin of the fruit in our wines; that’s the way it should be.
