Luigi Bosca
Bearing the official stamp of D.O.C. Lujan de Cuyo, the Malbec DOC comes from the 80 year old vineyard Finca "La Linda" The musts are controlled analytically before destemming and fermented in stainless steel tanks with natural yeasts, which provide the distinctive character of the soil where they were born. Fermentation takes place at 25º - 28º C in a protected atmosphere, to preserve the delicate aromas, and lasts 15 - 21 days. Racking is done during the first days, to extract anthocyanin and the greatest ammount of tannins. Finally a malolactic fermentation is provoked. The whole process is supervised by the technicians of the AOC who evaluate quality and authorize bottling. Aged:14 months in french oak, 12 months in the bottle. Deep Violet red. Aromas of cherries and ripe plum. Spicy, hints of honey, figs and blackberry
Wine Advocate
The 2006 Malbec Single Vineyard spent 14 months in French oak. It is purple-colored with an expressive bouquet of black cherry, mineral, and spice box. On the palate it is both mouth-coating and elegant with plenty of sweet fruit, excellent depth, and a long, pure finish.
Score: 91. —Jay Miller, December 2008.Wine Spectator
Dark and juicy, showing a briary undertow to the blackberry, dark plum and toast notes. This is muscular and slightly raisined, but stays fresh enough. Drink now through 2009.
